Back To Black Score – Out Now

Back to Black Original Motion Picture Score with music composed & performed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, and an original featured end title song “Song for Amy” by Nick Cave, is available to download and stream now here. The film, an extraordinary story of Amy Winehouse’s early rise to fame from her early days in Camden through the making of her groundbreaking album, is out in cinemas in the UK and Ireland today (12th April) and in North America on 17th May.

The film’s sensitive underscore was provided by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. “Sam [Taylor-Johnson, Director] wanted a very particular sound for the underscore – achieving heartbreak without being sad, without overindulging in the tears,” says music producer Giles Martin. “I think Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are musical geniuses and they understand what that is. It’s a complete treat to be able to collaborate and work with them. I think the results are truly amazing.”
